 Parabungy, Queenstown-style |
If jumping off a bridge at the new Kawarau Bungy Centre (near Queenstown in New Zealand) is not your chosen means of risking death, then why not try parabungy? This consists of bungy jumping from a parachute, combining two adrenaline-dripping pursuits in one. Tamer pursuits include jet-boating the shallows of the Shotover River, hiking the super-scenic northern slopes of Lake Wakatipu, or cruising on the 92 year-old steamer TSS Earnshaw. Later at night, visit the Ice Bar, maintained at a constant temperature of –5 degrees, where your drink could well freeze over before it reaches your lips.
