A dingo basks in the sunshine, on Fraser Island

The Thoorgine Aboriginal Cultural centre, on Fraser Island, lasted just long enough to draw people’s attention to the ancient Aboriginal history of this, the world’s largest sand island. While the centre is now in mothballs, there are plans to redevelop its former site, to incorporate a camping area with attached educational facilities.
