Beechworth's Old Telegraph Station

Beechworth’s Celtic Festival, held every year in mid-November, is a celebration of the rich Irish and Scottish heritage of this former gold-rush town. The outlaw Ned Kelly was put on trial here, and the famous explorer Robert O’Hara Burke is commemorated in the Burke Museum.
