Good Craic at Laura's pub, near Sligo in Ireland

Irish music has taken the world by storm, coming partly from the heart and partly from the very marrow of the bones. Sometimes, it even comes from the mind as well. Good Irish craic is off-road street-wise, steeped in life’s roller-coaster ride. The problem is that on the "wrong" day of the week (ie Monday to Thursday), finding genuine Irish music can be difficult, particularly away from the tourist haunts of Dublin. So, when the opportunity arose to visit the Donegal Shores Festival on the far north-west coast of Ireland, it was all stops out.
