How do you kill time when it’s already dead? That was the first question that sprung to mind when I stepped ashore in Savusavu, on Fiji’s second biggest island Vanua Levu. Which only goes to show just how wrong first impressions can be. In fact, Savusavu is very much alive, and dressed to kill. As well as a dynamic population mix of Fijians, Indians and Chinese, Savusavu attracts a large “floating” population of yachties, divers and beach-lovers, with a superb new marina and cruise centre fronting the safe haven of Savusavu Bay
