There are two courses at the Tagatay International Highlands Golf Course including a layout on the side of a smouldering volcano and another course within the mighty crater! Play is between a rock and a hard place at Manila's Intramuros Golf Course! (Right) |
When the Spanish came to the Philippines in 1571 they built a fort. Today golfers can have an up close and personal experience with the fortress as a fascinating swath of green winds its way around the stone wall. The recently upgraded Intramuros Golf Course is one of the most unusual and historic in Asia.
The cool highlands surrounds of Tagaytay are close to Manila and consequently packed with golfers and other tourists at weekends and during holidays. At other times this scenic area is popular with visitors interested in its quality spas and twin playgrounds that belong to the Tagatay International Golf Club.
An illustrated feature on either or both of these fine course getaways can be written on assignment from 1000 to 2000 words depending upon editorial requirements. A short 'sidebar' or a major feature on the attractions of Manila can also be provided.
