A guard on the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad

The Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad, straddling the border of Colorado and New Mexico, is the last operating section of the famous Rio Grande Mountain Railroad, which once linked hundreds of isolated mining communities in the Rockies. The Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railroad now takes day-trippers over a spectacular route, with the line climbing to over 10, 000 feet above sea level.
