This two-thousand-year-old touring route leads south from the Principality of Asturias on the north Atlantic coast, crossing the Cantabrian range then continuing south across the meseta, the great Castilian plain, to Extremadura and on to Andalucia and its celebrated capital, Seville. The Silver Road draws together not only the threads of Iberian history, but also a web of gastronomic opportunities.
