Shellharbour's Golf Havens

By: Thomas E King

Many holes on the par 71 Shellharbour Links course have views to the distant escarpment.

The cosy Calderwood Golf Course (above) nestles in the shadow of the rugged coastal escarpment.

Located an hour south of Sydney, the City of Shellharbour is emerging as a significant holiday destination for domestic and overseas visitors.  Backdropped by steep escarpment the Shellharbour Links course and the Calderwood course are gaining in popularity among golfers.

An illustrated feature on golfing in the Shellharbour area can be written on assignment from 1000 to 2000 words depending upon editorial requirements.  A sidebar on the scenic region which is home to one of the country's largest aviation museums and several heritage bed and breakfast establishments can also be provided.
